Throwback Thursday: Historical Romance Edition #35

Thank you to Shabby Blogs (http://shabbyblogs.com/) for the free frame!

Happy Thursday, everyone! And welcome to a new feature on Buried Under Romance and Love Saves the World.

What is Throwback Thursday?
Traditionally, Throwback Thursday celebrates nostalgia, asking participants to post a personal photo or an image from their past -- usually from 5 to 10 years ago. There are a lot of book blogs that also do a book-related Throwback Thursday.

The Historical Romance Edition:
Since Mary of Buried Under Romance and I are unapologetic lovers of historical romances, we've decided to focus on our beloved genre.

Here are our rules:
1. It must be posted on a Thursday.
2. It must be a historical romance novel published before October 3, 2008.

Her Ladyship's Companion by Joanna Bourne

Blurb:

When Melissa Rivenwood accepted the position of companion to Lady Dorothy, she had no idea what intrigue enveloped remote Vinton Manor. Why was 7-year-old Robbie, the future Earl of Keptford, so terrified? The trio of fascinating men who surrounded Melissa hid some dangerous family secrets that undoubtedly led to peril-and her suspicions fell on the one man she loved. Regency Gothic by Joanna Bourne; originally published by Avon

I always thought The Spymaster's Lady was Joanna Bourne's first novel (2008), but, apparently, Joanna Bourne published a novel with Avon in 1983. I'd love, love, love to read this book -- but, if you can see the prices on Amazon marketplace, I can't afford to spend $190 for a book. I'm a bit optimistic because, on Joanna Bourne's website, she's listed this book as "Out of Print at the moment" and in another area, there are buy links to it -- crossing my fingers that an ebook is in the works? ^_^
