This is a first for Love Saves the World! I'm featuring a contemporary erotica by Sorcha Mowbray titled Mergers & Acquisitions.
For the tour, I was able to ask Sorcha some questions, below is the complete Q&A:
LStW: Hi, Sorcha! You write erotic romances in both the historical and contemporary setting. What's the greatest challenge about writing in two different time periods?
Sorcha: I don’t really find it very challenging. Maybe, because I’ve always kind of existed in two different time periods? I of course live now, but I have always been a huge historical romance reader so I often -- here’s where I start blushing—actually think in historical terms. Yeah, that’s right. I walk around some days thinking like I live in another era and then translate it into modern terms. I drive the DH crazy since I sometimes toss in period words in my every day conversation. LOL!
LStW: Did you discover anything interesting while doing research and writing Mergers and Acquisitions?
Sorcha: I wrote the story SO fast there was no time for research. I literally started it on the Saturday before the Superbowl, finished it that Sunday and edited it. I sent it in to Decadent on Monday. I guess the research part came 13 years ago when I worked at a boutique M&A firm in NYC. I took what I learned there and simply applied it to the story. The rest of the story is a personal interaction which comes straight from the characters lips to my ears. *grins*
LStW: Any upcoming projects that you would like to share with our readers?
Sorcha: I have a contemporary western I’m working on and a post-apocalypse m/m/m/f story. Not sure which I’m gonna finish first. LOL!
Here’s a bit from the Contemporary western. Bull, the hero, has spotted Lara, the heroine, in a honky-tonk. They met the day before when she was accosted by another cowboy who is now taking a second run at her. Keep in mind ... this is an EARLY draft. LOL! Don’t judge my poor grammar.

Bull had only been at Roscoe's for ten minutes when Lara went sailing by in the arms of some cowboy. An unfamiliar and unwanted emotion twisted his innards up. Who was she dancing with? Well -- he paused -- if you could call that dancing. It was more like a cattle stampede than dancing. He watched her ditch the guy almost before the music ended. His grip on the longneck he held relaxed a bit. When the man didn't follow, but took up with a blond for the next dance he decided to hunt Lara down. She was tucked in the corner looking very relieved and a little pleased. The cowboy must be her brother. He'd heard Max Coleson was coaching on the circuit. He just hadn't realized it was his sister he was working with. Not that he'd cared much having never met the man before.
He decided to go over and try to smooth things over with her when Jack Wagner caught his eye. He apparently had a similar idea. Jack reached her and the conversation appeared to go south in pretty short order. Bull glanced over his shoulder to see her brother -- they looked alike now that he could see him -- was utterly focused on the hot little cowgirl in his arms instead of the hot-headed one across the room. With a sigh Bull made his way over to Lara and Jack.
"Awe darlin', I'm just trying to make up with you. Come on, come take a spin around the floor with me."
"No way Jack. I wasn't interested yesterday and nothing's changed since then. Just take yourself off to the trophy wall across the bar. I'm sure one or more of the buckle bunnies will be happy to dance with you. I'm not available."
Bull couldn't believe his luck, she set that up perfectly. He pushed past Jack and slid an arm around Lara, pulling her against his chest. "There you are, Baby." Without having made a clear decision, and despite the shocked widening of her eyes, he hauled the delectable Lara Coleson in for a kiss.
Her hands pressed against his pecs and her lips were rigid under his. Frustrated by her lack of cooperation, he murmured, "If you don't sell this I'm gonna have to hit him and then you'll have to bail me out of jail."
Immediately she melted against him, her hands sliding up his chest to wrap around his neck as her lips softened. He flicked his tongue over her lips, demanding entrance. She opened, welcoming the gentle invasion. The scent of rosemary and mint—her perfume or her shampoo, he couldn't be sure -- wafted into his nostrils, intoxicating him. Deepening the kiss, he explored the roof of her mouth, her tongue, and the hollows of her cheeks. She tasted sweet with a hint of barley from her beer. A groan escaped from her and she tightened her arms around his neck. Her body meshed with his except where his rock hard cock separated them.
The clearing of a throat finally broke the spell that had wrapped around them once she'd relaxed. They pulled apart, but he left one arm wrapped around her and clamped possessively on to her hip, keeping her tight against his side.

Thank you for the sneak peek, Sorcha! Good luck with your ongoing projects!

Shannon Pearce is an acquisitions specialist who helps businesses buy other businesses. Her latest project has left her fantasizing about her provocative client with nothing but BOB to ease her ache. After closing the deal successfully she is faced with another proposition of a very personal nature.
Dalton Granger can’t get his very sexy acquisition specialist out of his head. For weeks he has been tormented by the idea of not only having her in his bed, but at his mercy. What dom doesn’t fantasize about a sensual, submissive woman? But, can she let go long enough to relax and give him the control he craves? If she does, will she dance along the edge of passion with him and push her own boundaries?
Excerpt:
Alone with the person who occupied too much of her thoughts Shannon prepared herself for the final onslaught of Dalton Granger’s potent sexuality. The man exuded confidence and lust, filling the air around him with an aphrodisiac of the finest quality.
“Congratulations, Mr. Granger. You made an excellent buy.” She focused on collecting the documents to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to document the purchase of DiGiCode, a publicly traded company. Stock prices would go through the roof once the market opened on Monday morning.
“I did indeed. I know a good thing when I see it.” The deep resonance of his voice worked its way past her protective layers of clothing to twist and pull at her nipples, as though his fingers danced across her skin. How the hell did he do that?
Clutching her paperwork to her chest as a shield, she looked at him. Really looked at him. His dark brown hair and black walnut eyes made for an intimidating pairing, heightened by his physical mass. At six-foot-one or maybe two, Dalton existed as a superior specimen of the male form. Under the finely tailored suits he favored, he hid a body in excellent shape. The one time she’d gotten a hint of his masculine perfection had come the day before when her stiletto snagged in a grate on the street as they walked to lunch. She tottered, sure to collide with the unforgiving pavement. Instead the iron bands of his arms snaked out to catch her, pulling her hard against his muscled chest. She’d gasped in shock, from both the near miss and the current of desire winging through her from the close contact.
Before, she’d relied on her imagination in her fantasies of the compelling man. Now, she had a wealth of sensory data to put to erotic use. Last night her dreams had included powerful biceps, a well-muscled chest, and the man’s scent. Whatever cologne he wore should be traded as liquid gold on the market. The fresh, clean smell devastated a girl’s senses and played hell on her concentration.
Hence the long, drawn out silence as he ate her up with his eyes. Without a doubt, he made her feel like a good thing. “It would seem that way. Well, I’m sure you are eager to go celebrate your purchase.”
She edged around the formidable threat to her good intentions. Two steps from escape, he reached out and grabbed her upper arm. Her body ignited. The crotch of her thong soaked through, verging on saturation. Her nipples poked through the delicate blouse as though they could escape their confinement. Her toes curled in her high heels. All that, and he hadn’t even kissed her.

About the author:
Sorcha Mowbray is a mild mannered office worker by day ... okay, so she is actually a mouthy, opinionated, take charge kind of gal who bosses everyone around; but she definitely works in an office. At night she writes romance so hot she sets the sheets on fire! Just ask her slightly singed husband.
She is a longtime lover of historical romance, having grown up reading Johanna Lindsey and Judith McNaught. Then she discovered Thea Devine and Susan Johnson. Holy cow! Heroes and heroines could do THAT? From there, things devolved into trying her hand at writing a little smexy. Needless to say, she liked it and she hopes you do too!
